Objectives
One-Year Diploma in English Language aims at:

Providing students with the needed information in English language.

Creating opportunities for students to practice English language.

Enabling students to communicate effectively and appropriately in real life situations.

Developing the students' basic knowledge of English, including pronunciation, listening, vocabulary and grammar.

Developing the students' reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Enabling the students to read various types of English texts, such as short stories, emails, letters, articles, newspapers, magazines and other written forms of English.

Meeting the requirements of the labour market.
About the Program
One-Year Diploma in English Language is a Diploma offered by the Centre for Languages and Translation, Ibb Univeristy, Yemen for graduates of the Yemeni secondary school to prepare them in English language. It provides the students with the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills over two semesters (one year) through carefully designed courses which enable them to use English language in various situations.
What distinguishes us
The One-Year Diploma in English Language is offered by the Center for Languages and Translation, Ibb University. It aims to prepare high school graduates in the English language, for one academic year (two semesters) and provide them with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to enable them to use English and pass the admission tests for the university. It is designed according to the standards of quality and academic accreditation standards. It is the only program offered by Ibb University as a governmental university.
Fields of Work of Graduates
After completing the two-year Diploma in English language, the graduate should be able to work in:

Enrolling in various courses in the university which requires English language.

Writing texts in English (such as articles, reports, letters) while maintaining correct grammar and spelling.
